Progress Report

My new and incongruous greenhouse. Love it. This is for me to potter in. The 60ft poly tunnel arrives next week for the serious business of tree growing.

We have had our first volunteer staying with us and it has been a pleasure hosting him.

He was determined to finish this little wonder before he leaves us on Thursday. Big thanks to Sam.

The greenhouse was given to us by a friend who wasn’t able to erect it in her own garden because of space.

That is some thing we have a premium of. Just hope it won’t be to vulnerable to the strong winds that are on their way, ( as usual).

Reflections through the windows of cabin, while there was still no furniture in it.

Big news. At last we have moved in!

Only 10 years after buying the wood.

Solar power arrives next week , and then after that hopefully running water. Has all been and us being a big adventure.

Still sorting things out with the planners. Could go on and on, but I really hope not as the uncertainty is quite stressful.

Paul and Sam are in the middle of a charcoal burn today, which is exciting. Means staying up in shifts throughout the night to nurse the burn. I feel much coffee will be drunk this evening.

Discussing the potential of producing some bio char as well as charcoal. We will see how that goes.

Would love to have enough to sell at the farmers market.

Onwards and upwards…..
